On Friday 9th February a slightly different Year 5/6 Sports hall Athletics team competed in the Duston Cluster Sports hall Athletics Competition. All children participated in the track and field events. The track events included the 1 + 1 relay, 2 + 2 relay, 6 lap paarlauf relay, the obstacle relay and the 4 x 1 relay. The field events were chest push, standing long jump, standing triple jump, javelin and speed bounce. The whole competed brilliantly, put their best performances in to gain points for the overall team score. As the competition came to a close, it was time for the results to be announced. St James came 1st!! The team were so happy to see all their hard work paying off. Unfortunately the trophy was misplaced by another school but I'm sure we'll get our hands on it soon! Well done!!
