Extra Curricular Clubs
Teacher-led After School Clubs:
The teachers all run voluntary after-school clubs for children. These are held after school between 3.15 and 4.15pm, or during lunchtimes.
Recently offered Clubs included: Art, Gym and Yoga, Rounders, Ukulele, Netball, Choir, Soft toy making, Recorders, Video making, Football, Tesselation making, Chess and Sweet making. There will be changes to this list for the next block of Clubs. Some Clubs are open to everyone, but some are only offered specifically to younger or older children.
Clubs for the Spring Term:
Teacher-led Clubs will run during February and March. The dates will be confirmed nearer the time.
Music Lessons in School:
There are opportunities to learn Brass, Woodwind or Stringed instruments in school. The lessons are delivered by teachers from the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT). The cost for these lessons is currently £180 per year, which can be paid in installments (£30 in each of the six terms). There is a reduction for families in receipt of Pupl Premium Funding - please enquire at the school office if you think you are eligible.
If you would like to learn how to play an instrument, please speak to Mrs Bilkhu.
Clubs run by External Organisations:
In addition to teacher-led clubs, a range of clubs are run at St James after school and in the evenings by external organisations. There is usually a charge for these clubs, and you should make arrangements to join them by contacting them directly. These clubs are offered to both pupils of St James and children from the wider community.
If you are interested in running a club at St James, please contact Jo Prickett in the school office to discuss letting arrangements.
