St James' Family Newsletter
Dear Parents and Friends of St James,
NEXT WEEK IS HALF TERM WEEK – SCHOOL REOPENS ON TUESDAY 5th NOVEMBER
We had a great turn out at our workshops for Times Tables and Talk 4 Writing – thank you for coming along! We have been asked about Times Tables Turners to take home – we have ordered a bulk quantity of these and will let you know when they have arrived – they will cost £2 from the School Office.
When we return after the Half Term (on TUESDAY 5th NOVEMBER), we will be selling poppies and other Remembrance gadgets to raise money for the Royal British Legion. The following week, from the 12th November, we will be selling all things Pudsey to raise money for Children in Need. I know you will be very generous in support of these two wonderful charities.
We have analysed the results from our parent questionnaire and compared it to the results from last year (the questions have been changed by Ofsted this year which is why some questions do not have a response in 2018). We had 170 responses and are thrilled with such high percentages for agree+ for most questions. We also had a high number of comments made about how welcoming, friendly and approachable the staff are which is great. I would, however, like to explore your views on how we can better respond to bullying in school and I would like to invite you to join me and some of our governors for a workshop on Wednesday 6th November at 2:30pm. If you are unable to make this time but would like to contribute, please contact me and we can arrange a different date/time.
I wish you a relaxing Half Term break – please remember that school is reopening on Tuesday 5th November, not the Monday! Best Wishes, Sarah Beach |
