End of Term and September Arrangements

Dear Parents,

I cannot believe that we are at last coming to the end of this very strange term. It has been lovely seeing so many of you in school but I can’t wait to have everyone back in September!

Please read below for some of our plans for September and a few notes for the end of term.

End of Term arrangements

For those in school, please be aware that school closes after lunch by 1:30 on Friday 17th July. We will still have a staggered pick so that we can ensure social distancing up so please pick up at the following times:

·Surnames A – E, please pick up between 1:00 and 1:10

·Surnames F – M, please pick up between 1:10 and 1:20

·Surnames N – Z, please pick up between 1:20 and 1:30

We are having a ‘school picnic’ on Wednesday 15th July – please order your meal on ParentPay as soon as possible so that we know how may picnic treats to make!

For all children

If you have school library books or any uniform that you have grown out of and would like to donate it to school, please drop them off in the boxes outside the school office from 9:30 – 2:30 or after 3:30.

September arrangements

With guidance as it stands at the moment, all children are expected to be back in school from 3rd September and the normal absence procedures will be back in place. You must give a reason for any absences as per our absence reporting policy (which is on the school website). Please be aware that absences due to quarantine when returning from foreign travel are classed as unauthorised. After 5 days of unauthorised absence in a 6 week period, referrals to the Education Inclusion Team will be made and fines may be issued. Children may also be removed from the school role after 10 days unauthorised absence and lose their place at school.

We will still be running a ‘bubble’ system with all children within a year group being considered one bubble. Each bubble will have separate breaktimes and lunchtimes. Having year group bubbles means we can staff interventions, cover between classes and ensure we provide a full curriculum. Enhanced cleaning regimes will still be in place and we will still have a staggered start and finish to the school day to ensure social distancing whilst keeping the length of the school day the same for each child.

Children will be expected to wear school uniform (or PE uniform on PE days)

Please note, there will still be no Breakfast Club or After School Club provision for the first term. We will review this with the latest guidance at the October half term.
