Update on Bubbles and Summer holiday

Dear Parents/Carers,

I just wanted to give you an update on where we are with our arrangements during this current time.

We have moved a few of our bubbles around for Monday to ensure that we can still accommodate new requests for key worker children. You should have been contacted if this involves your child. We still have a few spaces left for Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children but are now full in our Year 6 bubbles. If you would like a place in school, please contact us as soon as possible but please be aware that you may be placed on a waiting list. If you have a place in school but no longer want it, please let us know so that we can release that place to someone else.

Because of the demand for places in these year groups and key worker groups, we are still unable to offer places to children in other year groups who are not key worker children.

Please also be advised that there are currently no plans to open school over the summer holidays for any children (including key workers). School will close for the summer at 1:30pm on Friday 17th July.

We have also received no guidance on how school will return on September. We very much hope that everything will be back to normal and school will open on Thursday 3rd September but that is not guaranteed; I will keep you informed as soon as I know more.

This is clearly a very worrying time for our Year 6 children in particular and we are starting to think about how to celebrate their time with us at St James. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have our traditional end of term Gathering so we would like to put together a video for them. If any children in other year groups would like to contribute to this by filming a message to our Y6 children, please send it our dropbox (in mp4 format) by Friday 3rd July.

Reports will be sent out to all parents on Friday 3rd July via SchoolComms email if your child is not in school. If you would like a copy of the report posted, please let us know.

I hope you are all staying safe and well and pray that we can welcome all our children back to school soon - we miss you all!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or the school office

Best Wishes
