ECO Warriors

The ECO Warriors have found some interesting holiday activities for you.  Please click on the link to discover it:

We set up an eco-committee, elected our eco warriors, carried out an enviromental review, created an action and are now the proud owners of an Eco-Schools BRONZE award!!!!!

Our Eco-warriors have been busy thinking about what they want to achieve and what message they want St James school to send out.  They designed an eco-code which is on display on the eco-board in school.  They think we all need to SAVE OUR WORLD!

Save water and energy

Always encourage birds and wildlife to visit our school

Voice your opinions don’t keep quiet and speak up

Eco-warriors help save the environment

Our school should be litter free

Use your brain and don’t drop litter

Reduce, reuse, and recycle

Water our plants, trees and flowers

Our community needs us

Remember to turn off lights

Look after our school environment, community and planet

Don’t drive if you can walk or cycle

What is Eco-Schools?

Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging 19.5 million children across 67 countries, making it the largest educational programme on the planet.

For over 25 years Eco-Schools has been empowering children to drive change and improve their environmental awareness through the simple Seven-Step framework in order to achieve the international Eco-Schools Green Flag award.

Eco-Schools develops pupils’ skills, raises environmental awareness, improves the school environment and creates financial savings for schools as well as a whole host of other benefits.

At St James our Eco warriors make up our eco-committee.  There are two elected eco-warriors from each class from year 1 upwards.

This year we have been working on lots of projects in order to apply for our Bronze award which is the first step in achieving our Green flag award!
